ATUG (Australian Telecommunications Users Group, Victoria) announces D2P as the inaugural winner of “Best Broadband Solution of the year for SME’s”
In recognition of unique and imaginative broadband solutions powering the graphic arts industry.” D2P won the award on the strength of a case study submitted by NEXTEP Broadband and the weight of client testimonials on the D2P website.
John Weichard, co-founder of D2P, “We were honored to be a finalist and to rub shoulders with Pacific Internet, but to win was just fantastic for a company that was conceived in a lounge-room in 1998.”
Since launching in July 1999, D2P has become the leading turnkey Internet and artwork delivery solution for the Graphic Arts Industry. The switch from narrowband to the NEXTEP Broadband network late in 2001 has seen D2P grow 500% in 2002.
D2P has found success by providing a sophisticated, very reliable solution to companies generally without an IT specialist on staff. The Australian Graphic Arts Industry is worth about $22 billion a year but more than 90% of Australian graphic arts companies have less than 20 employees.
D2P clients do not have the time or resources to spend installing, configuring and maintaining complicated internet connections, firewalls, e-mail servers, web servers, routers and FTP servers. They appreciate the low monthly fees and the fact that D2P supplies, installs, maintains and supports the whole system.
The reliability of the unique D2P model is also a big factor, because the system so rarely breaks if there is a problem D2P has found it easy to put in the extra effort to get it fixed.
